I paid in full for a sponge wedding cake with scant frosting it was £130.00. our reception was moved forward a year due to COVID. The owner of this establishment was informed in February 2021 - 4 month's notice. She, nevertheless arrived at the venue on the wrong date. She as stated in her email it was indeed her fault, however she managed to sell the cake tiers to other clients. I recently had a car crash and we have had to cancel our reception. When asked for a refund less the deposit I was advised that she was charging £70....for emails and design. Two emails. Design? We wanted 3 tiers of sponge cake with a scant frosting - a semi naked cake. No piping. £70.00 Buyer beware, the owner clearly had problems with entering correct dates in her diary. I would politely suggest she changes her broad band provider if they are charging her so much for emails. We have had refunds from all the companies we dealt with, some even refunded us in full AND gave the deposit back. this isn't a huge amount of money I agree but we DID pay in full, we received 2 emails from her, she sold the cake she made at HER error, there was NO design. After the horrific accident this was all I needed, someone who is clearly fabricating the truth on how much she is out of pocket Would I recommend this company? Not a chance.
